Mystery SolvedOur 2007 Outer Circle Mystery Photo was from an Industrial Design class on the dynamics of movement in 1948. Thanks to the responses we received, we have verified that the instructor in the photograph is Bill Martin. You told us that Martin was an influential Art Center instructor, who primarily taught life drawing classes focusing on movement and anatomy. We also learned that Martin often used the same model for his classes, Louise, who was a dancer with the Lester Horton Dance Group. Alumni also verified that the student wearing a tie in the back is David Bishop. Special thanks to Sam Solter PROD ’50, Warren Johnson FAPT ’50, Louis Danziger ADVT ’48, Jim McPhail ADVT ’62 and William “Bill” Reynolds PROD ’48. |
