UpcomingToyota Lecture Series: Todd OldhamA truly transdisciplinary designer, Todd Oldham’s portfolio
includes environmental design, photography, graphic
design, product design and film. Oldham is best known for
his work with La-Z-Boy, Target, MTV and as host of Top
Design on the Bravo television network. Oldham recently
served as art director of Charley Harper—An Illustrated
Life, the definitive monograph of artist Charley Harper,
beloved for his delightful, graphic and often humorous
illustrations of nature, animals, insects and people alike.
During his lecture, Oldham will discuss both his own work
and his ollaboration with Harper in editing and designing
the title, published by AMMO Books. Due to the overwhelming
interest in this event, reservations are mandatory.
RSVP to 626.396.2386. Car Classic: Call for VolunteersMembers of the Art Center community are needed for a
fantastic volunteer opportunity — Art Center Car Classic ’07, “Dream Machines: Imaginations Gone Wild.” As a
volunteer, you will have the opportunity to see some of the
finest cars in the world up close and personal. Car Classic
will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 10:00 am to
4:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers to work in fourhour
shifts between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. The types of job
responsibilities include event set-up, guest check-in, meeting
and greeting guests, and break-down after the event. If
you are interested in learning more about or assisting with
Car Classic, please contact Valerie Leonard at

Week 8 on the Hillside Campus hallways. Fine Art Media Senior ExhibitsThe Fine Art Media Department is pleased to announce the
Senior Exhibitions for Summer 2007. Each week, 8th Term
Fine Art Media Students will be creating solo or two-person
final exhibitions on display in the Undergraduate Fine Art
Gallery, located on the lower level near the north entrance.
The Senior Exhibitions are up for viewing Monday - Friday.

On-Campus Recruitment Preliminary MeetingsThe Office of Career Services invites companies to conduct on-campus portfolio reviews to identify and recruit graduating students for existing or potential job opportunities. Only Summer 2007 degree candidates are eligible to take advantage of On-Campus Recruitment. Students wishing to participate are required to attend a series of meetings and workshops, including their own department's Preliminary Meeting. At this meeting the Office of Career Services will be outlining the On-Campus Recruitment program. Please Note: This will be your only opportunity to sign up for On-Campus Recruitment.

change. Throughout history graphic design has proved itself as
one of the best means to instigate a change in society and communicate
the urgency of action. We are looking for graphic
artworks that will raise awareness of the environmental issues
affecting our delicate planet. Your graphic design should provoke
a positive change in the many things that are compromising PAVE Student Design CompetitionPAVE’s 2007 Student Design Competition is sponsored by Sony
Electronics Inc. This annual competition, now in its 13th year,
is geared toward college-level students involved in retail planning,
merchandising, and branding programs. Keep in mind
that all entries will not be returned and winning entries will
become property of the sponsor (Sony Electronics). Students
are advised to keep a copy of their entries.

Archives with your name, department, position title and the
month and year you started at Art Center for each position held.
This information will help the Archivist identify documents and
photographs, and keep a more accurate record of the history of
Art Center staff. In addition, this information will help plan the
